Long conduits, with elbows or transitions will reduce the
performance of the hood. Whenever possible, use as few
elbows and transitions as possible.
• Air should not be discharged into a chimney that is used to
extract fumes from appliances that burn gas or other fuels.
Air discharge regulations must be complied with.

Install the duct. Connect the round metal duct to the cover
and connect these parts to the hood body. Use adhesive tape
to seal the joints between the duct sections.
Electrical installation
Electrical wiring must be made by a person or people qualified in
accordance with all applicable codes and standards. This hood
must be properly grounded. Disconnect electrical power at the
service entrance before wiring.
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified people to avoid
a hazard.
