2.0 Safety Measures
The instrument has left our factory in safe and perfect condition – to
maintain this condition the user must pay attention to the safety re-
ferences contained in this instruction manual.
In order to avoid electrical shock proper safety measures have to
be respected when working with voltages exceeding 120 V (60 V) DC
or 50 V (25 V) RMS AC. These voltages represent the threshold
contact voltages according with DIN VDE.
Prior to taking any measurement ensure that test leads and test
instrument are in perfect condition.
These measuring instruments may only be used within the specified ranges.
The instruments may only be opened for fuse or battery repla-
cement by authorized persons.
Prior to opening the instrument, ensure that the meter is
switched off and disconnected from any circuits.
Only use the instruments in circuits fused with max. 16 A.
Health and Safety Regulations pertaining to Electrical Systems must
be strictly observed for all tasks.
Using the Multimeter in proximity of system emitting electro-magnetic
interferences (with 3 V/m and 27 MHz up to 500 MHz) can result in an
instable display or faulty measurement results.
