Charging the battery pack with Single Dock
a) Do not leave the battery pack inside of the Handy Terminal.
1. Plug the Power Supply into the Power Jack on the back of the Single-Slot Cradle.
2. Insert the Power Supply's plug into an electrical outlet.
3. Slide the HT650 into the cradle. When inserted properly, the HT650 Power LED will
light red to signify charging status.
b) The Single-Slot Cradle features an additional slot for charging spare batteries.
1. Insert the battery, from bottom first, into the battery compartment.
2. Press down on the battery until the battery snaps into place.

The HT650 includes a backup battery that temporarily provides power and retains data in the
absence of main battery power. The backup battery maintains its charge by drawing power
from the main battery.
Unitech recommends frequent connection of your HT650 to an external power source to
conserve main battery power and recharge the backup battery. Always store an unused HT650
with a fully charged main battery pack.
If the main battery and backup battery are depleted, the HT650 will revert to factory default
values.
