Measure-
ment
procedure
for wind-
screen
washer liquid
Measurement
procedure for
battery fluid
1. the measurement procedure is
identical to that for the radiator
liquid.
2. the measured value can be read
off on the measurement scale for
windscreen washer fluid [C] in °C.
3. After measurement, clean the
supplied pipette [8] and the
refractometer carefully.
1. Instead of the anti-freeze
solution, apply some battery acid
to the prism surface [2] with the
pipette [8].
2. read off the acid density in g/cm³
(kg/l) from the boundary line on
the measurement scale for battery
acid density [A] „- / +“.
3. the scale [A] is divided into three
areas to determine the charge
state.
reCHArGe = replace / recharge
(<1.20 g/cm³);
Charge state ~50%
FAIr =
Acceptable
(1.20 to 1.25 g/cm³);
Charge state ~75%
GOOD =
Good (>1.25 g/cm³);
Charge state ~100%
Attention!
After each measurement,
remove the liquid from the prism
surface [2] and prism cover [1] with
an absorbent cloth.
then clean the prism and prism
cover carefully using a cloth
moistened with water and dry both
parts with a soft, dry cloth.
