Memory block
For security reasons to prevent the
memory being filled by someone re-
peatedly operating the locking handle
within a short space of time, a memory
block has been incorporated.
Unisto Manta will not step up data from
event 00 into event 01 if more than
three events occur within 5 minutes.
The third operation within a 5 minute
period will cause events 01 – 99 to be
‘frozen’ within the memory.
Event 00 will always correspond to the
most recent operation.
After 5 minutes of inactivity the mem-
ory block is lifted, enabling new events
to be stacked in the memory.
If a time and a date setting is attempt-
ed while the Unisto Manta is in ‘Mem-
ory Block’ the word STOP will appear.
Should this occur, wait 5 minutes for
the block to be cleared and try again.
Leap years
The unit electronics are pre-program-
med and will automatically allow for
February 29 every 4 years.
Tamper evident features
The Manta seal is designed and manu-
factured with tamper evident features.
The actuator knob has an integral,
pre-determined break point. In normal
use, it would never be broken. A bro-
ken actuator knob will indicate misuse
or attempted tampering and should be
investigated.
Maintenance
1. The Unisto Manta security seal is
practically maintenance-free;
it runs on pre-installed batteries
and is sealed for its service life.
As soon as the batteries run low,
the display shows LOW BATTERY.
The unit should then be replaced
within 6 weeks.
2. The stainless steel hasp can be re-
placed. It should be regularly in-
spected for sings of wear or dam-
age. Replacements can be ordered
directly from our sales team. Please
quote the door type and desired
length of the wire hasp when order-
ing.
