GETTING TO KNOW YOUR PHONE

Parts of the Base

Key Icon

What it does

VOL UP/DOWN

•

In standby or when the phone is ringing: increase/decrease the

ringer volume

•

During a speaker call or while a message is playing: increase/

decrease the volume.

PLAY/STOP

•

In standby: start playing new messages.

•

While playing a message: stop playing messages.

MUTE/DND

•

During a call: mute the microphone.

•

While the phone is ringing: ignore this call (mute the ringer).

•

In standby: press and hold to turn DND Mode on or off (page 22).

SLOW

•

During message playback: reduce the speed of the answering

system playback by 30%.

•

Real Time: When on a call, slows down the speed of the other

party’s voice.

SPEAKER

Switch a normal call to a speakerphone and back.
