Paging the Base Unit from the Handset while a Call is Holding
1.
Press

on the Handset. If no answer or the line is busy, press
talk
,
int’com
, or a
line
key to disconnect and return to the call on hold.
2.
At the Base Unit, press
int’com
or
speaker
to answer the page. Speak into
the microphone.

The person at the Base Unit can join the conversation by pressing the
line number currently in use.
3.
To turn the intercom off, press
int’com
at the Base Unit.
— OR —
Press speaker on the Base Unit to transfer the call to the Base.
— OR —
Press
talk
on the Handset to return to the call on hold.
Paging the Handset While a Call is Holding

Press

on the Base Unit. The call is placed on hold and the
Handset is paged.
2.
At the Handset, press
talk
or
int’com
to answer the page. Speak into the
microphone.

The person at the Handset can join the conversation by pressing the
conference button on the Handset.
3.
To turn off the Intercom, press
talk
at the Handset.

Press a
line
key on the Base Unit to transfer the call to the Handset.
Room Monitor
You may use the
DX8200
Handset to monitor activity near the Base Unit.
1.
On the Handset, press
int’com
.
2.
Press
talk
as soon as the Handset beeps.
Now a two-way monitor is set up between the Handset and Base Unit.
3.
To disconnect, press
talk
again, or press
speaker
on the Base Unit.

The Room Monitor feature is activated only by the Handset.
