Uniden Atlantis 290/295 Radio Owner’s Manual

READING THE DISPLAY

The LCD display

shows different

information depending

on what you are doing.

The table below shows

all the possible icons

and what they mean.

Display icons and what they mean

Icon

What it means

Displays when the

PTT

Boost

keys

are pressed and the radio is sending a

transmission.
The battery is fully charged, mostly charged,

half charged, mostly empty, or completely

empty.

MID

The transmitter power is set to HI, MID, or

LO.

These do not display for WX mode or for

MRN receiving channels only.

US/INT/CAN

Indicates channel mode: US, INTernational,

or CANadian channels. (Marine band only)

DUAL/TRI

Dual or Triple Watch is enabled.

LOCK

The keys are locked.

GMRS/VHF

Band type

MEM

The current channel is saved in memory for

scanning.

SCAN

Scan mode is enabled

(VHF and GMRS

only).
Vibrate is turned on (GMRS mode only).
Weather Alert mode is turned on.
