Based on 100°F heat pump supply temperature and 160°F maximum heater supply temperature

The maximum allowed size is shown in the table above. Auxiliary heat for electric furnace or hot water can be
controlled by either the iSeries control (S1, S2, S3) outputs, or controlled by the thermostat. To control auxiliary
heating with the iSeries control, connect the auxiliary heating to the three 24VAC output terminals labelled S1, S2,
and S3 on the Relay Board. These are enabled with the following rules:

The system must be turned on, and have been running in heating mode for 20 minutes without satisfying the

thermostat.

Every 20 minutes that the unit is on it activates one additional output in this sequence (S1, S2, S3).

If the system exits the AUX heat mode, the timer will reset.

Zone Damper Systems (only when using standard heat pump thermostat)

Setup the system as if using standard 24V thermostats with a zone damper system. The zone damper controller appears
to the iSeries control like a standard 24V thermostat. For zone damper systems it is necessary to set the maximum motor
speed to prevent over-speeding of the motor as dampers are closed so that the remaining open outlets are not noisy.

To set the maximum motor speed, follow these steps:
1.  Open all dampers.
2.  Press the button on the MMI board once. Either the RED or GREEN LED will come ON to indicate the status of the

maximum limit. If the RED LED is ON, then the maximum RPM is not set. If the GREEN LED is ON, then the maximum
RPM is set.

3.  Press the button a se

cond time to enter into the “learning mode” (programming mode). The RED LED will blink for 30

seconds and the blower will slowly ramp up. At the end of 30 seconds, the maximum RPM will be set and the RED LED
will go out and the GREEN LED will be ON. The blower will ramp back down. This step can be repeated by pressing
the button again. After an additional 20 seconds the system will return to Normal state (Step 1).

4.  To erase the maximum speed setting and return to the default (factory) setting, press and hold button for 3 seconds

after  step  2.  The  GREEN  LED  will  go  out  and  the  RED  LED  will  be  ON.  After  20  seconds  the  system  will  return  to
Normal mode (step 1).
