4. Operation and use
The fertiliser distributor can be operated by a single individual
– the tractor driver. The
fertiliser distributor has been designed to be used with tractors equipped with an external
hydraulic system.
5. Machine operation
The following recommendations should be observed in order to achieve the proper quality of
the distributor operation:
- Do not load clumped or contaminated fertilisers into the fertiliser container.
- Check the fertiliser level in the container at the field edges.
- The field should be even and its slope angle should not exceed
12
°.
- Pay attention to the correct longitudinal and crosswise levelling of the fertiliser distributor
during operation.
- During the working run, keep constant speed of the unit and constant PTO speed (540
rpm) and make sure the consecutive passages are performed at the same distances
resulting from the fertiliser distributor’s working width (Fig. 2) and the overlap of the
distribution zones.
- When opening and closing the distribution slot at the edges of the field, allow for the reach
of the rear distributed zone 1.
Fig. 2.
Fertiliser distributor operation patterns
Before you start the fertilisation process, perform a fertiliser distribution test.
The hydraulic system and discs should be turned on at the moment of starting the tractor,
provided that the distribution disc drive has been turned on first.
The rear hitch of the fertiliser distributor is used to hitch farm implements or two-axle trailers,
provided that the following conditions are met:
- the speed does not exceed 25 km/h;
- the trailer is equipped with an overruning brake or a braking system operated from the cabin
of the tractor;
- the total weight of the trailer does not exceed 1.25 of the permissible total weight of the
tractor and in any case does not exceed 5 tonnes.
It is forbidden to pull single-axle trailers using the hitch of
the fertiliser distributor.
