7.4: Calibration
7.4.1: Depth Calibration
Even if the transmitters roll, pitch, battery status and temperature are
displayed correctly, calibration may not be reliable due to a
distorted magnetic field
Make sure pitch is 0% during calibration. If pitch is not 0%, displayed
depth will not match calibration distance until pitch is changed to 0%.
Calibration complete.

10ft calibration first.

begin calibration.

1. Make sure that the transmitter is working properly and
place it in the housing.
2. Place housing containing the transmitter in a location
away from interference.
3. Set transmitter and receiver 10ft apart from center of
transmitter to the inside edge of receiver
’ s base, as shown. (33 or 66ft should only
be used when drilling at extreme depths)
