.
OR
b. If you see a

display, press and hold the crown button for approximately
five (5) seconds. The watch resets and may require up to ten (10) minutes. During the
reset process, the screen displays
“
Kanega Watch.”
Once the watch has reset, it displays
the
‘Press crown to begin’
screen and is ready for you to listen to a short tutorial.
c. If you get the
‘Kanega Watch/Restore’
battery screen,
that means the watch is
charging the internal battery. This may take up to ten (10) minutes. Once the watch
’s
internal battery is charged to a sufficient level, it displays the
‘Press crown to begin’
screen and is ready for you to listen to a short tutorial.
4. Listen to your voice tutorial.
a.
When your watch displays the
‘Press crown to begin’
screen, you
can begin your tutorial. Please wear your watch during the tutorial.
b.
The voice tutorial talks you through three important Kanega watch functions:
▪
How to communicate with the watch
▪
How the watch communicates with you, and
▪
How to contact an operator at the monitoring center.
c.
Pressing the crown button one (1) time starts the tutorial.
Note:
Once the “
Press crown to begin
”
screen appears you have one (1)
minute to press the crown button. If you do not press the crown button
within one (1)
minute you see a ‘
Back to sleep
’
screen, and the watch
returns to sleep to conserve battery. To wake the watch, press and hold the
crown button for approximately three (3) seconds and the watch resets.
The first time your watch is activated, or after all the batteries are drained, it may display
the default date and time of January 23, 9:53 a.m. This is normal, and the watch
automatically sets the current time within a few minutes. No need to set it yourself.
