Placing a Cordless TTY Call
1.
Connect the Compact/C to the cordless phone using the
cable that came with the TTY.
2.
Use the cordless phone to dial the number you are calling.

Turn on the Compact/C and press the

Once the call has connected to a TTY, the Compact/C will
display the conversation text. See Telephone Calls on page 9 for
more information about TTY calling.

number, but the call is not connecting.

Answering a Cellular Call
1.
The cell phone rings or vibrates, signaling that you have an
incoming call.
2.
Connect the Compact/C to the cell phone using the cable
that came with the TTY.
3.
Turn on the cell phone to answer the call according to the
operating instructions for the cell phone.
4.
Turn on the Compact/C and begin typing your greeting.
Using the Compact/C with a
Cordless Phone
When connected to a compatible cordless phone, the Compact/C
may be used:
