To shorten it,
hang up the strap. Use one hand to hold the adjustment clasp vertical to the
strap. With your other hand, pull the front outside strap down until you have the desired
length and then let go. Letting go of the adjustment clasp prevents further adjustment.
Note! The strap may only be pulled forwards to the clasp “nose”
when being shortened as this is the only way to set the “excess
length”.
To extend it,
grip the adjustment clasp of the suspended strap from the back. Pressing on
the frame of the clasp releases the lock and the strap slides. The strap will extend under
load. Once the desired length is reached, let go of the clasp to reactivate the setting.
In the case of a
vertical rescue
, only 2 pairs of straps of the same color are usually used.
The pair of straps that isn’t being used can be hooked into the top recessed grips or into
the circumferential rope of the rescue stretcher. Make sure though that no load is placed
on this pair of straps. Its sole purpose is to secure dangling, loose straps.
5. Cleaning and care
Use mild soap and warm water (40°C) to clean the ultraBRIDLES.
For disinfection, you can use commercially available, alcohol-based agents. Other
solutions or cleaning chemicals may damage the material of the straps, carabiner hooks
and clasps.
Allow the wet transportation suspension to dry naturally and keep it away from direct heat
exposure.
