B. Select a suitable location for the camera. Install the camera
stand or mounting bracket in the selected location using a
suitable fastener. The camera stand or mounting bracket
must be attached to a structural object, such as a wall stud
or ceiling rafter, that will support the weight of the camera
and mount.
C. The KC-2A camera has a threaded mounting hole on the
bottom and top of the camera housing to allow for bottom or
top mounting. The ¼"-20 UNC threaded mounting hole
attaches to the bolt on the camera stand or mounting
bracket.
NOTE:
Do not aim or point the camera towards the sun or
into a strong light.
D. Attach a CS-mount lens directly to the front of the camera
lens mount. If a C-mount lens is used, the CS/C back focus
ring must be adjusted to the “C” setting.
E. If an auto-iris lens is used, connect the cable to the terminal
block for a video-type auto-iris lens.
F. Route the assembled cable from the monitor to the camera.
G. Plug the cable into the connector port labeled “MONITOR” on
the rear of the camera.
H. Plug the other end of the cable into the corresponding
camera connector port on the rear of the monitor.
I. Adjust the lens focus and iris controls for an optimum picture.
1.3
WHITE BALANCE ADJUSTMENT
This adjustment is used to place the white balance function of the
camera into the AUTO (Automatic) or MANU (Manual) mode. If
the switch is placed in the AUTO position, the camera will
automatically try to maintain white objects as white even if the
light color changes. If the switch is placed in the MANU position,
the user can adjust the R (Red) and B (Blue) controls until white
objects are seen as white on the monitor. The MANU position is
primarily used when viewing objects under colored lights.
