This famous Aerobatic airplane has been used in many international competition &
games. Its short fuselage & low wing loading give the airplane better agile maneuver
capability & allow the pilots to explore its envelop limit in the extreme flight &
competition shows. Same as the real airplane, Ultrafly has redesigned the airfoil and the
entire fuselage to create a model that is a capable in very low speed maneuvers. For a
small size (120cm or 47.2in) model, the wing loading usually makes the thin airfoil
difficult to perform good pure aerobatic maneuvers, A very thick airfoil would offer good
lift but a bit tuff in Hi-alpha approach. Ultrafly has find a good balance between the two
and create this model that can cover the two requirement properly. We hope you can
enjoy the fun in practicing your skill with this near TOC performance Edge 540!
We recommend you set up the power system with an Ultrafly H/12/09 brushless motor
(500 watt) for true aerobatic maneuvers. If you just want to have a leisure sport
experience wondering in the sky, a low cost F/18/10 with 11x5.5E propeller with
3300mAh (15C) 3S lipo would give you enough power & duration to do so!
The battery range is from 2000 to 3300mAh 3S lipo battery. A sport/aerobatic maneuver
would require 2000-2500mAh (20C) 3S lipo with a 12x6E APC propeller. For Extreme 3D
maneuvers, you should consider using a 13x6.5E propeller with 2500-3300mAh (25C)
