Some A/V components, such as high-powered amplifiers and receivers, may
require additional ventilation and will overheat in an enclosed cabinet. Check
the components’ manuals prior to enclosing them fully.
•
Keep the IR receiver away from plasma screens and devices that emit too
much low-frequency RF or an excess of ambient light, including direct sunlight,
floodlights, and some halogen or fluorescent lamps as they interfere with the
signals.
•
Avoid attaching the IR emitter cables to equipment doors and slots that may
need to be opened or accessed from time to time.
•
You can also attach the IR emitters to a shelf within 3” of the components’ IR
eye. This will allow IR control without having to attach the IR emitter to directly
to your components.
•
Non-user serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open the power supply or IR
repeater box. Doing so will void your warranty.
•
The Hidden IR is not weather-resistant. Do not expose this system to moisture.
