5. Measuring the blood pressure

Press air-venting button and the indicator hand 

progresses slowly back. Pay attention to noise in 

the stethoscope. Read off systolic value with the first 

clear pounding sound (Fig. 1). Read off the diastolic 

value with the last audible sound (Fig. 2).

6. Venting the cuff

Completely press the air-venting button and the cuff 

can be vented fast.
