Protection against overheating
Filter change
The compressor motor has a thermal protector which will shut off the unit
before the unit is overheated. When the thermal protector shuts the unit off,
please:
Do not use cotton or any other materials. Do not wash or clean the filter. Only
use filters supplied by your distributor. And do not operate without a filter.
Replace the filter approximately once every two months or when the filter
turns grey.
Changing procedure:
• Switch off the unit.
• Unplug the unit from the electrical outlet.
• Wait 30 minutes for the motor to cool down before another treatment.
Make sure the air openings are not obstructed.
• Remove the filter cover from the bottom of the device.
• Replace the used filter with a new one.
• Replace the filter cover.

Which medications
can I nebulise with
Domotherm vital
plus?
All medication that is suitable for device inha-
lation may be nebulised using Domotherm vital
plus. Please refer to the instruction leaflet provid-
ed with your medication for information. If you are
unsure regarding use of your medication with this
device, please discuss this with your doctor.
Should I use the
mouthpiece or the
mask for inhalation?
We recommend the mouthpiece for inhalation.
There is a more direct path to the lungs when
breathing through the mouth than the nose,
meaning that slightly less aerosol mist is left over
in the upper respiratory tract. Technically, using
the mask means that more outside air is inhaled
than with the mouthpiece. Therefore, the treat-
ment time may be somewhat longer.
When inhaling using a mask, please make sure
that the mask covers the mouth and nose well.
Is Domotherm vital
plus also suitable for
children and infants?
Domotherm vital plus is suitable for children of
any age. Children should, however, only use the
device when supervised by an adult. Never leave a
child alone during treatment. Use the baby mask
without rubber band on infants. Hold the mask
over the infant’s mouth and nose during treat-
ment.
Why should I replace
the nebuliser con-
tainer after 1 year?
The nebuliser is a high-precision instrument and
is subject to minor wear from usage. Therefore,
particle size and distribution can change over
time, which may affect treatment effectiveness.
Accessories should also be replaced regularly for
hygiene reasons.
Can Domotherm
vital plus be used by
multiple people?
Yes. However, each user should use their own ac-
cessory kit (nebuliser container, mouthpiece, mask)
for reasons of safety and hygiene.
