ZED-F9H - Integration manual

A ﬁrmware image is a binary ﬁle containing the software to be run by the GNSS receiver. A ﬁrmware
update is the process of transferring a ﬁrmware image to the receiver and storing it in non-volatile
ﬂash memory.

Contact u-blox for more information on ﬁrmware update.

3.16 Spectrum analyzer

Supported from ﬁrmware version HDG 1.13 onwards

The receiver has an integrated spectrum analyzer function which can be visualized together with u-
center. The information can be polled from the receiver by activating the UBX message UBX-MON-
SPAN.

The feature can be used to identify spurious emissions from other RF sources in the GNSS bands
during receiver integration into a customer application. It can also be used during normal operation
to help in the identiﬁcation of interference sources when for example the UBX-MON-RF message
detects a possible jamming threat. See e.g
