Front Panel Functions
1.
Input Jack
- High impedance input to the amplifier. Plug in your instrument here.
2. Bass Control
- Adjusts low frequency response. In the fully counter-clockwise position,
Low frequencies are cut. In the fully clockwise position, all low frequencies present are amplified.
3. Treble Control
–
Adjusts the preamp high frequency response. In the fully counter-clockwise
position, high frequencies are cut.
4. Volume Control
–
Adjusts the overall output of the amplifier. As the control is rotated
clockwise, the volume of the amp will increase until approximately the 2 O’clock position.
The volume may not increase past this point, but the amplifier will become more overdriven and its
sound more harmonically rich.
5. Contour Control
- The contour control is an active wide band sweep. In th
e 12 o’clock position,
the amp’s frequency response is flat. Counterclockwise rotation reduces high end response and
increases low frequencies. Clockwise rotation decreases low end and increases the high
frequency response. This control is very useful for maintaining preamp tone control settings, while
allowing a global adjustment to compensate for differences in room acoustics, speaker cabinets,
or bright to dark guitars (PRS Humbucker to Strat, for example). This control also actively reduces
the articulation available, allowing a softer setting or extremely open and revealing, depending on
your individual style and requirements.
8. Standby-
This switch has 2 positions,
Standby
and
Play
. In the
Standby
position, the high
voltage in the amp is cut, rendering the amplifier muted. In the
Play
position, the amplifier is fully
on and ready to be played.
