INSTALLATION · RADIO ASSEMBLY
Remove the five original equipment manufacturer’s
(OEM) windshield screws and acorn nuts from
the windshield frame.
The two lower short bolts and the center short
bolts are not used. Set them aside(c).
Now, take the radio... and remove the three
screws and washers from the rear of the unit.
You can discard the washers. (NOTE: The two
outer screws are shorter than the center screw.)
The three screws indicated here across the top
horizontal frame (a). And, the two here on the
vertical frames (b).
Keep the two top longer bolts and nuts to use
when installing the radio (d).
Hold the radio housing from the front. Insert the
longer screw just removed from the radio through
the center hole in the windshield bracket.
ATTACHING THE AUDIO SYSTEM TO THE WINDSHIELD
Align the center hole on the radio up with the
center screw on the windshield bracket. Push the
radio onto the screw — and tighten with your fingers(e).
