SOME USEFUL TIPS
Smooth riding
l
Avoid engine idling for long period. It is better to
switch it ‘OFF’ and start again.
l
It is harmful to increase the engine speed with
brakes applied as the engine gets unduly
strained.
l
Avoid riding continuously at speed below
20 kmph as this will result in faster wear of the
clutch shoes.
l
Make your self familiar with the traffic signs
and regulations.
l
For safe riding, it is advised to use a good
quality helmet while driving.
l
Avoid use of mobile phones while riding as
it could lead to fatal accident.
Improve service life of your vehicle
l
Adhere to the recommended maintenance
schedule and follow running-in information.
l
Apply brakes only when necessary.
l
Always ride within the optimum speed range
for better fuel economy.
l
Avoid overloading.
FUEL ECONOMY
The maximum fuel economy is obtained between
30 to 45 km/h (indicated by a green zone on the
speedometer). There is a drop in fuel economy
both at lower speeds and even more at higher
speeds. Frequent braking, long periods of idling
and overloading will result in much lower fuel
economy.
Note
The on-road mileage of TVS XL 100 is dependent
on several factors like road condition, quality of
fuel, riding speed, operation of clutch and brake,
tyre inflation, maintenance / timely servicing of
vehicle, load etc.. and hence will differ from the
mileage given under standard test conditions such
as made in recognised test agency like ARAI.
