Filling In order to fill the solar system the supply and
return ball valve [1, 2] must be set to the "gravity
brake open" position (45°). Turn the spindle [B]
on the flow indicator to the "S" position. The slot
is now horizontal, while the flat section points to
the left.
Connect the filling hose to the filling and drain
valve [4a].
Connect the drain hose to the filling and drain
valve [4b].
Open the filling and drain valves and fill the solar
system.
Note:
Do not exceed the maximum filling and flushing
speed of 40 l/min, as this could damage the com-
ponents.
Flushing To flush the solar system turn the supply and
return ball valve [1, 2] to the "gravity brake open"
position (45°).
Turn the spindle [B] on the flow indicator to the
"S" position. The slot is now horizontal, while the
flat section points to the left.
Open the filling and drain valves [4a, 4b] and start
the flushing procedure.
Flushing the pump
Set the spindle [B] on the flow indicator to the
flow position. The slot is now vertical, while the
flat section points downwards. The air that is still
trapped in the pump can now rise to the top.
Adjust the spindle so that it is horizontal again
and flush the solar system until the residual air is
expelled from the system.
If no flow rate is visible on the flow indicator after
conducting the flushing procedure,

conduct a
controlled flush.
Draining
To drain the solar system set the supply and re-
turn ball [1, 2] valve to the "gravity brake open"
position (45°). Turn the spindle [B] to the "flow"
position. The slot is now vertical, while the flat
section points downwards. Open the filling and
drain valve [4b].
