Using the slider, you can move the selection cursor from the name of the zone to the favourite parameter: 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
 
 

 
In this case, the keyboard works differently: 

-

 

arrow keys: parameter modifying (on/off zone, volume changing, input source changing) 

-

 

OK key: forwarding to next zone; the cursor remains on the selected column 

-

 

ESC key: quick return of the selection cursor to the zone name 

-

 

slider: move the cursor between parameters or the zone name 

 

QUICK SYSTEM SETUP 

 
In order to startup the system you have to follow 4 steps:

Main unit settings 

1.

 

Enter the navigation menu (press OK when display is in normal state - time)

Select 

UNIT SETUP…

 

3.

 

Select the favourite language; following items are related to English language 

4.

 

In line 

DATE

 set the current date (DayOfTheWeek Day/Month/Year) 

5.

 

In line 

TIME

 set the current time (hour:minutes). Select also AUTO DAYLIGHT S.T. if your country adopt daylight 

saving time and you want that the unit automatically does  the correction on last Saturday of March and October.

Under 

SOURCES NUMBER 

select the number of centralized sources connected to the matrix. 

Notice

: this setting is for all zones, each zone will listen up to the maximum input number set in this line (in 

ZONES 

SETUP…

 there will be the possibility to selectively exclude some sources for the zone within those globally available)

Enable (with a check mark) or disable “LOCAL INS ENABLED” depending on whether local sources are or not 
connected to the matrix. 

Notice

: this setting is for all zones, if there is at least one local source connected to the matrix 

enable  this option (in 

ZONES SETUP…

 there will be the possibility to selectively exclude the presence of local zone 

source) 

 

Source settings

Enter the navigation menu (press OK when display is in normal state - time)

Use the slider for cycling between the 8 centralized sources and press OK on the one you  want  to  configure. 

Notice

:  for  the  first  installation  use  the  reference  number  of  the  source  (not  its name), you can change the 

name of the source when entering the configuration

Select submenu 

CHANGE NAME…

 if you want to change the name of the source:

Press OK on the name you want. It’s possible to cycle between a predetermined list of names

Under 

TYPE

 select the type of audio input source: MONO or STEREO. 

Notice

: if the source is mono you can plug the 

audio signal indifferently on left or right input.

Under “SENS.” select the audio output level (measured in Vrms) of the source. For the inputs 1 to 6 the range spans 
from 0.5 Vrms and 2 Vrms. For inputs 7 and 8 the range spans from 1.07 to 4.25 Vrms. Proper configuration of this  
parameter is very important to ensure undistorted sound and uniformity on listening volume when switching between 
different sources. If signal output level is unknown we recommend starting with high values and then go down slowly. 

Notice

: if these values are changed with the system running, they have no immediate effect on the zones. Just switch 

off and then switch on the zone to apply changes.

Use the slider for cycling through available zones (the total number of zones depends on the number of MTxE816 
expansions installed) and press OK on the one you want to configure

Under 

OUT TYPE

 select if the output is 

MONO

 or 

STEREO

. If you configure the output as 

MONO

 the matrix automatically 

mixes stereo inputs to generate a mono output
