Efficiency

The pump efficiency (as a percent).

Notes:



The pump efficiency should be provided by the
manufacturer.



If the pump efficiency is not known, allowing for an
efficiency factor of 70 % is a good rule-of-thumb.

Power Units

The calculated pump brake power (

) automatically

updates as the input parameters are changed. Using the
▲ and ▼ keys to scroll, and the ◄ and ► keys to change
the selected field, the unit of measure for brake power
can be adjusted.

Available units for brake power are: bhp, W, and kW.
