Data Acquisition (Polling)
The V

Plus is designed to allow you to perform polling through
the use of a computer. To do this your computer must be hooked up and in
terminal mode and the baud rate for the computer and the V
ELOCI
C
ALC
Plus
must be set to the same value. For details on viewing or changing the baud
rate see
Changing the Baud Rate section in Chapter 2. You must then send
an upper case V to the instrument. The values that are sent back to the
computer are for those measurement types that are turned “on” in “Sample
Options” menu. See

You must write their own routine (program) to obtain information at specific
intervals from the V
ELOCI
C
ALC
Plus. The meter will only print information
when the
SAMPLE
button is pressed.
Caution: This symbol is used to indicate that the data port
of the V
ELOCI
C
ALC
Plus is not intended for connection to a
public telecommunications network. Connect the data port
only to another RS232 port.
