1. Introduction
TRP-C31S is designed to instantly convert data from RS232 /422/485 interfaces to a
10/100Mbps Ethernet network running at the TCP/IP protocol. By using a standard COM port
and existing network infrastructure the device allow you to link together serial peripherals that
are distant from one another from Windows, Linux and Unix without the need to install any
specific cabling or modify existing software and industry standard DIN rail design enables fast
and professional installation.
The TRP-C31S operates in “Direct IP Mode”, “Virtual COM Mode”, and “Paired Mode”. It has one
synchronous DB-9 serial port for RS232 connection and screw terminal block for RS422/485
connection. The Ethernet port will auto-select 10 Base-T or 100Base-TX. TRP-C31S also offers
a Heart Beat feature to ensure a reliable communicating connection.
