       • The tool is designed to work with

Weldon stilts cutters or accessories. Choose the right one

for the material to be worked on, this reduces the risk of

serious injury and speeds up the work.

• Do not attempt to use bits that exceed the capacity of the

drill.

• Use well sharpened and well-maintained drills /

attachments to optimize the work.

Choose the appropriate bit or attachment

• ake your time to evaluate the work to be done and make

sure you have followed all the necessary precautions

before starting to drill.

         • Always use the safety belt. The

assembly can be released by a power failure or accidental

disconnection. If the mounting surface does not allow the

use of a chain, secure the unit with another means.

         • Adjust the bit or accessory correctly to

the drill bit, otherwise it can fly out at high speed and

cause serious injury.

      • Before drilling into a wall, make sure

that there are no embedded objects, such as cables or

electrical conduits or pipes.

        • Turn off the drill switch (set to position

0) and make sure the magnetic base is attached to the

workpiece before installing or replacing a drill or

attachment.

                             • This electric tool produces an

electro-magnetic field during its operation that could

interfere with medical implants. To reduce the risk of

serious or fatal injury, it is recommended that people with

medical implants consult their physician and the

manufacturer of the implant before operating the tool.

                             • The drill should be used in a

climate-protected environment.

                             • The drill can be used vertically or

horizontally but not in an inverted position, as long as the

magnetic adhesion and the working environment allow it.

Work horizontally only when absolutely necessary and use

at least two operators. Take special care to protect against

the ejection of steel chips and hot projectiles.

                             • The work piece must be at least 10

mm thick so that there is sufficient magnetic adhesion. Do

not operate the drill without sufficient magnetic adhesion.

                             • Check that there are no body parts

between the base of the magnet and the workpiece. The

magnet has industrial-grade strength and misuse can result

in serious injury. Never attempt to turn the magnet on

unless the entire surface of the magnet is attached to the

workpiece.

Before operating the drill

       •

Hold the tool by its handle and by

the auxiliary handle.

Remember that loss of control can

cause personal injury.

•

Hold the tool by the insulating surfaces, especially

when performing work where the cutting part of the

bit may make contact with hidden wiring or the tool's

own power cord.

Contact with a live wire makes the

metal parts of the tool live as well and can cause an

electric shock to the operator.

• Do not subject the tool to excessive stress.

        • If the bit gets stuck in the workpiece,

turn off the drill immediately. Then remove the bit from

the workpiece. Do not attempt to remove jammed bits by

turning the tool on and off.

• Do not apply too much pressure to the tool in order to

speed up the drilling. Otherwise, the drill will be damaged

and the efficiency of the tool will decrease as well as its

life span.

          • The larger the bit diameter, the

greater the reactive force, which can lead to a loss of tool

control. To avoid this possibility, hold the tool firmly with

both hands and maintain a balanced position on both feet

while drilling at 90°.

• Be aware and prepared to relax the force as soon as the

bit passes through the material. Sudden movements can

cause accidents.

        • Do not touch the bit or drill hole

immediately after drilling. Wait for them to cool down

before handling them. Do not attempt to cool them with

water or oil.

• Avoid placing the tool in a place with particles and/or

dust immediately after use, these can be absorbed into

the mechanism of the tool and thus damage it.

• Use hearing protectors, when running services that

make noise above 85 dB. Exposure to noise can cause

hearing loss.

• Use a dust mask and dust extraction equipment if

necessary. Remember that working with materials such as

asbestos, lead paints, additives, some types of metals or

minerals is highly toxic.

• Use safety glasses.
