Installation and connection
1. Mount the time switch on a DIN-compliant rail. Carefully pull the locking lever downwards slightly. Click
the lock onto the rail and let go again.
2. Connect the time switch according to the connection diagram. Clamp the connecting wires in place. Use
a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the screws.
After the time switch has been connected to an electrical circuit, the power reserve battery must
be charged. Wait approximately 10 minutes before setting the exact time. The full power reserve
is then available for a period of approximately 3 days.
Operation and programming
• Open the transparent cover to reveal the controls.
• Close the transparent cover when you have finished configuring the settings.
a) Programming switch times
1. Use the switch wheel
(7)
to set the desired switch times. When the pro-
duct is shipped, all sliders are on the right-hand side (switched on by
default). If necessary, use a small tool (e.g. pen nib) to configure the
settings.
2. Carefully push a slider to the left to the
OFF
position. You will hear a click.
3. Carefully push the corresponding slider to the right again (
ON
position).
You will hear a click. Refer to the schematic diagram of the slider posi-
tions on the right-hand side of the time switch.
ON
OFF
4. One slider represents a duration of 15 minutes. Move as many sliders as
necessary to set longer switch times (e.g. 2 sliders equate to a total of
30 minutes from switching on to switching off). In this example, the timer
switches the connected device on at 4:00 and switches it off at 4:30 after
the second slider. After a half-hour break, the device is switched back on
at 5:00 and then switched off again at 5:30 after two additional sliders.
To activate the switch times, the
OFF/ON
switch
(4)
must be set to the (Auto) position (central
position).
b) Setting the time
To set the current time, turn the switch wheel
(7)
in the direction of the arrow (counter-clockwise). Set the
switch wheel time on the triangle
(8)
in the transparent housing. The time of the fixed dial (side) must be the
same as the switching wheel (e.g. 11 to 11).
Never turn the switch wheel in the opposite direction of the arrow or use force, as this may
destroy the time switch.
c) Permanently switching the connected device on/off
1. In automatic mode, the time switch switches the connected device on and off at
the preset switch times. In automatic mode, the
OFF/ON
switch
(4)
is set to the
Auto
position.
2. To switch the connected device on or off independently of the preset time inter-
vals, move the
OFF/ON
switch
(4)
to the
ON
or
OFF
positions. The current to the
connected device will then be permanently on or off.
Care and cleaning
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.

Intended use
This product is a time switch for controlling electrical systems. It can send impulses with a minimum swit-
ching interval of 15 minutes. The time switch features 96 programmable switching cycles. It is designed for
standalone installation in a control cabinet by means of a symmetrical 35 mm profile in accordance with EN
60715 standards (DIN rail).
This product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture (e.g. in a ba-
throom) must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes, do not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the product for purposes
other than those described above may damage the product. In addition, improper use can cause hazards

Explanation of symbols
The symbol with the lightning in a triangle indicates that there is a risk to your health, e.g. due to
an electric shock.
The symbol with an exclamation mark in a triangle is used to highlight important information in
these operating instructions. Always read this information carefully.
The arrow symbol indicates special information and tips on how to use the product.
Safety information
Read the operating instructions and safety information carefully. If you do not follow the
safety information and information on proper handling in these operating instructions,

a) General information
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity,
moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• This device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
b) Installation
• Electrical devices must only be installed and mounted by qualified installation personnel.
• The device is protected internally against interference by means of a protective circuit. Despite
these protective measures, very strong magnetic fields may impair its function.
• Interference can be avoided by observing the following installation rules:
- Do not install the device near inductive loads (e.g. motors, transformers or contactors).
- The power should be supplied via a separate mains circuit (with a mains filter if required).
- Inductive loads must be equipped with protective devices to reduce overvoltages (varistors,
RC filters).
• Check whether interference signals are emitted when the time switch is used together with
other devices in a system.
c) Connected devices
• Always observe the safety instructions and operating instructions of any other devices which
are connected to the product.
