10. Function settings
Various functional settings can be applied using
the additional function (mode) selection button.
The BP20 switches to the next functional mode
each time the mode button is pressed.
To set the desired function, press the mode button
repeatedly until the respective function symbol
flashes on the display.
Now set the desired value or functional status
using the up or down selection buttons.
During each measurement, the BP20 additionally
determines either the maximum temperature
value (MAX) or minimum temperature value
(MIN) as selected and shows it on the functional
temperature display. The value set (MAX or MIN) is shown on the
status display for the additional functions. The value is preset in
the factory to maximum temperature.
The BP20 has an individual emission factor setting and an
acoustic alarm for freely selectable upper and lower alarm limit
values. To activate or deactivate the alarm function and to set the
desired alarm limit values or the emission factor, navigate to the
corresponding function mode using the mode button and set the
desired value or function status using the up or down selection
buttons.
These settings are stored in the device - even when it is switched
off - until the next setting change.
The BP20 has a continuous measurement function. In this mode, the
device measures the temperature continuously without the measure-
ment button having to be pressed. To activate this function, press
the mode button repeatedly until the corresponding function symbol
flashes on the display and activate continuous measurement using
the up or down selection button.
When continuous measurement is activated, it is not possible
to change the display status of the background lighting or
laser beam display. You should therefore select the appropriate
settings before activating continuous measurement.
In order to determine measured values for different surfaces
during continuous measurement, you can set the emission factor
for the respective material at any time using the up and down
selection buttons without interrupting the measurement process.
11. Care and maintenance
Blow loose particles of dirt off the IR lens. Brush off any remaining
dirt with a fine lens brush. Wipe the surface of the instrument with
a slightly damp cloth. Only use water to dampen the cloth. For
cleaning do not use any chemicals or cleaning agents.
