Winterizing the Freshwater System
1. Turn On the water pump switch.
2. Open all faucets and showers.
3. Run the water pump until the water stops flowing from the faucets and showers.
4. Remove the brass end plugs from both the blue/
cold and red/hot water lines. Access to these
plugs is in the aft berth, through the deck plate
covers and half moon shaped hatch (see photo
on right).
5. Reinstall the brass end plugs after the water has
stopped draining from the tee fittings.
6. Unhook the water line from the filter side of the
freshwater pump and blow air through this line.
7. Unhook the water line on the other side of the
freshwater pump.
8. Open the drain on the water heater
9. Close the drain when water stops flowing out of
the water heater.
10. Starting with the faucet furthest away from the pump, Open the faucets one at a time and blow 30 to 40 PSI of air
into the water line until the lines are free of water.
11. Reassemble the freshwater system.
12. Pour 1 gallon of RV Antifreeze into the freshwater tank.
