Condition Explanation Solution
Over-
Temperature
The thermal resistor
exceeds 176° F (80° C).
Allow the inverter to cool.
Do not block the cooling
slots or airflow over and
through the inverter.
Reduce the load on the
inverter to the continuous
rated output.
Resetting
the Inverter
To reset after shutdown
occurs, set the inverter’s
ON/OFF switch to the OFF
(O) position. Check the
source of the problem and
correct. Set the inverter’s
ON/OFF switch to the ON
(I) position.
Fusing
Your Tripp Lite inverter is internally fitted with fuses that should not
have to be replaced under normal operating conditions. Blown internal
fuses usually indicate a reversed polarity or short circuit within the
device or equipment.
WARNING! PINV1500 contains internal fuses that are not user-
serviceable. Do not open the unit under any circumstances or
you may void your warranty. Contact Tripp Lite Customer Support
for assistance if fuses are blown.
