ADJUSTING AND LUBRICATING THE CONVEYOR
SYSTEM

TENSIONING CONTINUOUS BELT
•
Front nominal ratchet length of 21.5”.
•
Rear nominal ratchet length of 25.75”.
o
May be less due to variations in belt stretch.
•
With these initial values set, and the rear doors open, run the belt and
observe the belt tracking.
•
Turn the system off, and adjust the 4 ratchets.
•
Repeat the above steps until the belt tracks straight and does not rub the
sidewalls at any point.
BEARINGS AND PULLEYS
The bearings on the belt rollers must be inspected and lubricated at regular intervals using
an NLGI Grade 2 general-purpose grease. The amount of lubrication is dependent upon
the amount of use.
•
Under daily use, daily inspection is required. Lubricate as needed.
•
Under all other uses, weekly inspection should be sufficient. Lubricate as needed.
•
Inspect pulleys for excessive wear or damage.
