2.4 Description
The cassettes are frequency converters and convert two incoming analogue sig-
nals into two outgoing analogue signals with free selectable frequency (s. Tech-
nical Data). The cassettes are programmed via the head-end station control
unit. Each cassette is equipped with two channel strips which are indicated in
the control unit display as “
Bx…A
” and “
Bx…B
”. A channel strip consists of a
terrestrial tuner, the circuits for signal processing, and a mixer for converting a
TV channel.
The two converted input signals are unified in a combiner and passed via the HF
output socket to the HF output collector. The common output level of the channel
strips can be adjusted at the HF output collector of the head-end station.
The software version of the control unit appears on the two-line LC display after
switching on the head-end station.
The cassette is intended for operation in the following head-end stations:
– CSE
3312
– CSE
3308
– CSE
3319
