2. Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective
equipment such as dust masks, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection
used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
3. Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off position before
connecting to power source and or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool.
4. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better
control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
5. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and
gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in
moving parts. Keep handles dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles do
not allow for safe handling and control of the tool in unexpected situations.
Specific safety regulations
WARNING! Welding should be handled with special precautions. Please read the safety
regulations at workplace before proceeding to welding. During electrical welding, there are
the following hazards: electric shock, negative eye and skin irritation, vapor and gas
poisoning, explosion and fire burns, noise. Do not use the unit in damp places, in the open
air during fog, and in rain or snow, and in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Prevention of electric shock:
• connect the device to a technically correct electrical installation with proper protection and
reset efficiency,
• Install the current wires with the appliance switched off,
• Do not touch the uninsulated parts of the electrode holder, the electrode and the weld
object simultaneously, including the housing of the device,
• Do not use brackets and wires with damaged insulation,
• work with a helper to assist the welder and safety guard, use clothing and gloves with
good insulation properties,
• If you notice any irregularities, you should contact the competent persons for removal,
• It is forbidden to operate the device with the covers removed.
Prevention of the negative effect of the electric arc on the human eye and skin
• Wear protective clothing (gloves, apron, leather, shoes),
• Use protective shields or shields with the right filter,
• Use protective curtains made of non-combustible materials and properly select the colours
of the walls that absorb harmful radiation.
Prevention of poisoning by steam and gases emitted during welding from electrode
padding and metal evaporation
• Use ventilation and extraction equipment installed in air exchange units,
• Blowing fresh air when working in closed spaces (tanks),
• Use masks and respirators.
