INSTALLING TRANSMITTER BATTERIES
Your TQi transmitter uses 4 AA batteries. The battery compartment
is located in the base of the transmitter.
1. Remove the battery compartment door by pressing the tab and
sliding the door open.
2. Install the batteries in the correct orientation, as indicated in the
battery compartment.
3. Reinstall the battery compartment door and snap it closed.
4. Turn on the transmitter and check the status LED for a solid
green light.
If the status LED flashes red, the transmitter batteries may be weak,
discharged or possibly installed incorrectly. Replace with new
or freshly charged batteries. The power indicator light does not
indicate the charge level of the battery pack installed in the model.
CHARGING THE RECEIVER BATTERY
To power the radio system in the truck, your Revo 3.3 is equipped
with the RX Power Pack, a rechargeable 5-cell NiMH battery pack.
The RX Power Pack must be fully charged before running the truck.
The supplied RX Power Charger is a voltage-detecting unit that will
automatically shut off the charger when the battery reaches full
charge (this will take 3-4 hours). Revo 3.3 has a built-in charging
jack, so you do not have to remove the battery pack from the
model for charging. Follow these steps to fully charge the receiver
battery before operating your model:
1. Plug the charger into a wall outlet (A). Choose
an outlet that is in a location where you may
easily observe the battery. Avoid placing
the battery on the floor or in other locations
where someone may accidentally damage or
disconnect the battery. When plugged in, the
charger’s LED will glow green, indicating the
charger is ready to begin charging (B).
2. Plug the charger output
cord into the charging jack
located under the right
front of the truck (C). The
charging jack is protected
by a rubber plug.
3. The charger’s LED will glow
red to indicate charging is
in progress (D).
4. When the LED glows
green, the battery pack
is fully charged and ready
for use (E).
5. Unplug the charger from the model and from the wall outlet.
Replace the rubber plug over the charging jack on the truck.
If the radio system doesn’t
appear to work when the
transmitter and receiver
switches are turned on,
check for correct battery
installation.

Use the Right Batteries
Your transmitter uses AA
batteries. Use new alkaline
batteries. Do not use
rechargeable AA cells to
power the TQi transmitter,
as they will not provide
sufficient voltage for optimum
transmitter performance.
Caution: Discontinue running
your model at the first sign of
weak batteries (flashing red
light on the transmitter) to
avoid losing control.
