Vertical Air Delivery
A ceiling hanger bracket is used to
suspend a unit heater from the ceiling
to provide vertical air delivery; see
Figure 5. For mounting bracket model
information, minimum clearance
requirements and dimensional data,
refer to Figure 4.
Note: To simplify unit installation, be
sure to complete the mounting and
wiring of any optional accessories
used before mounting the unit.
Use the instructions provided
below— along with Figure 5— to
mount the electric unit heater for
vertical air delivery:
1. Attach the short angle brackets to
the back of the unit heater with the
four 5/16" (8mm) X 18 capscrews
and lockwashers provided. Be sure
that the vertical leg of each angle
bracket faces the top and bottom
(ends) of the heater.
2. Attach the inverted U-frames to the
short angle brackets with the four
5/16" (8mm) X 18 capscrews,
washers, lockwashers and nuts
furnished with the unit.
3. Using the four 5/16" (8mm) X 18
capscrews, washers, lockwashers
and nuts provided, attach the long
angle brackets to the inverted
U-frames as shown in Figure 5.
4. Secure the unit-and-bracket
assembly to the ceiling in the
desired location; use field-supplied
hardware of sufficient strength to
support the combined weight of the
unit and any accessories.
