Connecting the Sign to the (Optional) Illuminator

ARNING
:
To prevent damage to the solar charger, connect the solar panel to the sign before
connecting the sign to the battery pack on the trailer.
To wire the solar panel to the sign:
1.
Align the solar panel and the sign connectors, then insert the sign connector into the solar panel
connector.
2.
Screw the cover on the sign connector over the joint. Be careful not to over tighten it.

Before ever doing any maintenance on a sign, it is critical that the power is first turned off.
This will prevent accidental electrical shock that can be fatal and that can also damage electrical
components.

It is vitally important, whenever you close the sign, that you close and lock all of the latches
properly to avoid water infiltration as this could damage the sign and void your warranty.
Connecting the Sign to the (Optional) Illuminator
The illuminator draws its power from the radar sign. As such it has a single power cable that you need to
connect to the matching connector on the radar sign.
To connect the illuminator:

Connect the illuminator's power cable with the matching power connector from the sign.

Align the illuminator cable and sign power connector.

Insert the illuminator cable into the sign power connector.

When it is properly inserted, screw the cover on the illuminator connector over the joint. Be careful
not to over-tighten it.
