TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE 

 

CAUTION!

 

To avoid injury from accidental starting, always turn switch OFF and unplug the tool before moving, replacing the blade or making 
adjustments. 
Consult your technical support if for any reason the motor will not run.

 

 

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE - MOTOR

 

 

PROBLEM 

PROBLEM CAUSE

Brake does not 
stop blade within 6 
seconds. 

1. Motor brushes not sealed 

or lightly sticking. 

2. Motor brake overheated 

from use of defective or 
wrong size blade or 
rapid ON/OFF cycling.

1. Inspect / clean / replace brushes. See 

MAINTENANCE section. 

2. Use a recommended blade.   
  Let cool down. 
 
 

     3. Retighten arbor bolt.

Motor does not 
start 

1. Fuse

3. Other. 

1. Use & check 15-Amp time delay fuse, or circuit 

breaker.

Excessive brush 
spark when switch 
released.

1. Check fuse panel in home 
2. Replace Brushes 
3. Reduce length of extension cord
