Boot-Mode configuration 

The TQMa335x can boot from different sources: 

•

 

eMMC (MMC1) 

•

 

SD card (MMC0) 

•

 

SPI NOR flash (SPI0) 

 
Additional boot sources can be used according to the AM335x data sheet, insofar as this is possible with the respective pin 
usage. 
The settings

 of S1 and S2 define which device is selected as primary boot source. The exact list of signals, as well as their 

meaning for the boot process, is to be taken from the TQMa335x User’s Manual. Some of the signals are not relevant for boot 
source selection. 
The AM335x supports so-called boot sequences, i.e. if it fails to boot from the first boot device, it tries to boot from the next boot 
device. See TQMa335x User’s Manual for more details. Only the primary boot source is given in Table 82.
