When installing a child restraint system in
the front seat center position, move the
driver and passenger seats as far back as
possible, set both seatbacks to the same
angle as the back of the child restraint
system, and set both seat cushions at the
same height so that the child restraint
system is securely restrained.
With the child restraint system installed,
check that your driving position is satis-
factory and that the child restraint system
does not interfere with your driving.
If your driving position is not satisfactory,
or the child restraint system interferes
with your driving, install it at another posi-
tion.

When using a forward − facing child
restraint system, move the driver
and passenger seats as far back as
possible, set both seatbacks to the
same angle as the back of the child
restraint system, set both seat
cushions at the same height and
make sure your driving position is
satisfactory.

Ignoring the above instructions may
result in a serious injury in case of
on accident. 1. Run the center lap belt through or
around the convertible seat following
the instructions provided by its
manufacturer and insert the tab into
the buckle taking care not to twist the
belt. Keep the lap portion of the belt
tight.
