external devices such as digital video camera.

Video Out
Jack
This S-Video out port lets you transfer NTSC or PAL data
to external devices.
PC card
A PC card slot accommodates:

Multiple
Digital
Media Card
This slot lets you easily transfer data from devices, such
as digital cameras and Personal Digital Assistants, that
use flash memory (SD/MS/MS Pro/MMC/xD memory
cards). (Provided with some models)
Express
card
This slot allows you to install a Express Card™/34 or
Express Card™/54 to expand functionality.
(Provided with some models)
Sound
System
Sound Blaster™ Pro™ and Windows Sound System
compatible sound system provides internal speakers
and an internal microphone (optional) as well as jacks
for an external microphone and headphones.
S-Video Out
Port
This S-Video out port lets you transfer NTSC or PAL data
to external devices. See the
section in
chapter 8, Optional Devices, for details.
Modem
An internal modem provides capability for data and fax
communication. It supports V.90 (V.92). The speed of
date transfer and fax depends on analog telephone line
conditions. It has a modem jack for connecting to a
telephone line. Both of V.90 and V.92 are supported only
in USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany and Australia.
V.90 is available for the rest of countries.
LAN
The computer is equipped with a LAN card that supports
Ethernet LAN (10 Mbit/s, 10BASE-T), Fast Ethernet LAN
(100 Mbit/s, 100BASE-TX) or Giga-bit.
