4.20 LCD Module

Removing the LCD Module

To remove the LCD module, follow the steps below and refer to Figure 4-41.

1.

Turn off the power to the computer, then disconnect the AC adapter and all
external cables connected to the computer.

2.

Remove the battery pack, optional memory module, optional PCMCIA card,
display mask, and FL inverter board as described in Sections 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, 4.17
and 4.18 (DSTN display) or 4.19 (TFT display).

3.

Remove

four M2.5x6 screws

securing the

LCD module

to the LCD cover.

4.

Carefully rotate the

LCD module

from right to left out of the display cover and

disconnect the

LCD flexible cable

from

CN1

on the LCD module.
