This subtest checks the Interrupt Request Levels (IRQ) 4, 3, and 5 from the send

side.

3.11 Hard Disk Test

CAUTION: The contents of the hard disk will be erased when subtest 02, 03, 04, 05, 06,
08, 09, or 10 is executed. Before running the test, transfer the contents of the hard disk
to floppy disks. This can be done with the Toshiba MS-DOS BACKUP command. After
the test, enter the Toshiba MS-DOS FDISK command, which will set the partition. Then
enter the Toshiba MS-DOS FORMAT command. Refer to the Toshiba MS-DOS manual
for details.

OPERATION

1.

When you select the hard disk test from the DIAGNOSTIC TEST MENU, the following
message will appear.

Test drive number select (1:HDD#1,2:HDD#2,0:HDD1&2) ?

2.

Select the hard disk drive number to be tested and press

Enter

HDC F/W error retry (1:yes,2:no) ?

3.

This message is used to select the retry operation when the hard disk controller detects an
error. Type in 1 or 2 and press

Data compare error dump (1:no,2:yes) ?

4.

This message is used to select the error dump operation when a data compare error is
detected. Type in 1 or 2 and press
