DVD-R/-RW drive
Some models are equipped with a full-size DVD-R/-RW
drive module that lets you record data to rewritable CD/
DVDs as well as run CD/DVDs without using an
adaptor.You can also write CD/DVDs.
Modem jack
In areas where an internal modem is installed as standard
equipment, there is a modem jack that lets you use a
modular cable to connect the modem directly to a tele-
phone line.
CAUTIONS: 1. In case of a lightning storm, unplug the modem cable
from the telephone jack.
2. Do not connect the modem to a digital telephone line.
A digital line will damage the modem.

Figure 2-4 shows the computer’s back panel.

Security lock
A security cable attaches to this slot. The optional
security cable anchors your computer to a desk or other
large object to deter theft.
