System Setup

3.5.1 Invoking setup

The setup function can only be invoked by pressing

F2

when the “Press <F2> to enter Setup”

message is prompted on the bottom of screen during POST.

Setup uses a menu-driven interface to allow the user to configure their system. The options
are:

Main

Allows the user to specify standard IBM PC AT system
parameters.

System Devices

Provides advanced system settings.

Security

Provides security settings for the system.

Others

Allows the uses to specify other miscellaneous settings.

Boot

Allows the user to specify the boot options.

Exit

Allows the user to save CMOS setting and exit Setup.

During setup, all

Fn

function keys and power saving functions are disabled.
