4.9 Optical Disk Drive

4-42 Satellite1400/2400

Maintenance Manual (960-364/365)

Installing the Optical Disk Drive

To install the optical disk drive, follow the steps below and refer to figures 4-24 and 4-25.

1. Seat the

metal brace

on the side of the

drive

, and secure it with one

3 thin

silver flat-head screw

2. Seat the other

metal brace

and secure it with

two M2

5 thin silver flat-head

screws

3. Slide the

optical disk drive

into place.

CAUTION:

Be careful not to damage or pinch the FDD SUMI card when you

seat the drive.

4. Connect the drive to

PJ2001

on the

system board
