DV DUBBING
Note for DV dubbing
• I f you p ress [PAUSE

] at ste p 5 in “DVC to DVD D ubbing ” on p age 57, the ta p e wi ll rewin d to the p oint a few
secon d s p rece d ing the p ause d p oint. W hen you p ress [ENTER] at ste p 6 in “DVC to DVD D ubbing ” on p age 57,
then , it wi ll start d ubbing when it comes to the p ause d p oint.
• T he unit d oes not sen d out the out p ut signa l to DVC .
• F or the p ro p er o p eration , connect DVC to the unit d irect l y. D o not connect this unit an d DVC v ia any other unit.
• D o not connect more than 1 DVC .
• T he unit can on l y acce p t DVC . Other DV d e v ice such as cab l e / sate ll ite bo x or D-VHS VC R cannot be recogni z e d .
• I f no v i d eo signa l is d etecte d from the DVC d uring DVC to DVD d ubbing , the recor d ing wi ll be p ause d an d “

• Y ou cannot d ub from DVC to the both DVD an d VC R at the same time.
• Y ou cannot change the out p ut mo d e d uring DVC to VC R d ubbing. I f you want to switch to the DVD mo d e , sto p
the VC R first.
• D uring DVC to VC R d ubbing , you cannot change channe l s whi l e p ause d .
• W hen out p ut is in DVD mo d e whi l e pl aying bac k a DVD using DV ( L3 ) , you cannot switch to the VC R mo d e.
• I f you are using anything other than DV ( L3 ) to pl aybac k DVD, you can switch to the VC R mo d e , but cannot se l ect
DV ( L3 ) channe l . ( Y ou can se l ect DV ( L3 ) after switching to the DVD mo d e d uring VC R pl aybac k .)
• D uring timer stan d by of either com p onent , you cannot se l ect DV ( L3 ) e v en on the com p onent which is not in timer
stan d by.
• D ate / time an d cassette memory d ata wi ll not be recor d e d .
• Pictures with a co p y - guar d signa l cannot be recor d e d .
• A DV termina l is a termina l that can use the transmission mo d e conforming to the IEEE 1394 stan d ar d s ca ll e d “F ire
W ire ” . I t ser v es as the interface that connects the P C an d p eri p hera l d e v ice such as “ i. L in k” (registere d tra d emar k of
S O NY ). I t enab l es d igita l d ubbing between DV d e v ices with l itt l e d egra d ation.
DVC to VCR Dubbing
Before recor d ing from DVC, refer to p age 54 for
connection instructions.

Repeat the steps 1 and 2 on page 57.

Press the PLAY button on your DVC
to find where you wish to start
dubbing. Then, press the PAUSE
button on the DV camcorder when
you come to the desired start point.

Press [REC

] to start recording.

Press the PLAY button or the PAUSE
button on your DVC to resume the
playback.
T he d ubbing wi ll start.
To pause the recording:
Press [PAUSE

] once.
“ R EC” wi ll f l ash.
To resume recording:
Press [REC

] or p ress [PAUSE
F
] again.
“ R EC” wi ll rea pp ear.

To stop recording, press [STOP

Press [VCR] first.
