Identifying the Engine
Use the following graphic to identify the engine you have and proceed to the section listed below for service

Engine Safety

Shut off the engine before checking the oil or
adding oil to the crankcase.
•
Keep your hands, feet, face, clothing, and other
body parts away the muffler and other hot surfaces.
Servicing a Kawasaki ®
Engine
This section is only for machines with Kawasaki
engines. If your engine looks like the one shown in
Figure 47 , you have a Kawasaki engine.
